Tar Heels Top 2017 Preseason Poll

CHAPEL HILL—Defending NCAA champion North Carolina will begin the 2017 women's lacrosse season in the same placed it finished 2016 — atop the national rankings.
Inside Lacrosse's 2017 Face-Off Yearbook ranks the Tar Heels No. 1 in the nation in its preseason poll, writing:
"The reigning national champion North Carolina Tar Heels dot the line at No. 1 in the 2017 Face-Off Yearbook rankings. Carolina has four first-team Face-off Yearbook All-Americans in Maggie Auslander, Maggie Bill, Marie McCool and Caylee Waters."
The Tar Heels will open their 2017 season on February 4 at home against James Madison.
