Berry Named Preseason All-America By Sporting News

CHAPEL HILL—University of North Carolina point guard Joel Berry has earned third-team preseason All-America honors from the Sporting News, the publication announced on Wednesday. Â
Berry, a senior from Apopka, Fla., and the 2017 NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player, is out of action temporarily with a broken bone in his hand. Â He also is a preseason candidate for national player-of-the-year honors and a preseason first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference pick.
