Tuesday's Scrimmage Ends In A Tie

Chapel Hill, NC- The Navy and Blue squads battled to an 8-8 tie in a nine-inning scrimmage on another beautiful day for baseball at the Bosh on Tuesday afternoon.
Brandon Martorano, who drilled a two-run home run, was 2-3 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Adam Pate was 2-3 with three RBIs and a double. Michael Busch was 2-3 with three runs scored. Cody Roberts was 2-5 with two RBIs. Brendan Illies's three run homer was Carolina's other extra base hit. Illies had four RBIs for the day.
Bo Weiss and Zach Attianes were the starters, with Hansen Butler, Robbie Peto, Evan Odum, Josh Hiatt and Teddy Sabato throwing in relief.
The Tar Heels will next scrimmage on Friday. Carolina will open the season on Friday, Feb. 17 at 3:00 p.m. against Kentucky at Boshamer Stadium.
