Blue Wins Friday's Wild Scrimmage

Chapel Hill, NC -- Kip Brandenburg's sixth-inning grand slam home run keyed the Blue team's 12-11 win over Navy on a scorching Friday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium. Brandenburg led all hitters by going 4-4 at the plate with five RBI and two runs scored. Jackson Hesterlee was 3-5 with two RBI and two runs scored.
Clemente Inclan was 2-2 with one RBI and two runs scored, while Satchel Jerzembeck and Ben Casparius were both 2-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Hesterlee had two doubles and Inclan, Casparius, Michael Busch, Ike Freeman, Brendan Illies, Zack Gahagan and Brandon Martorano each had a double. The two squads combined for 26 base hits.
Five pitchers saw action: Caden O'Brien, Cooper Criswell, John Dancy, Bo Weiss and Trevor Gay.
Carolina will next scrimmage on Sunday afternoon.
