Navy Romps In Friday's Scrimmage

Chapel Hill, NC --- Â The Navy squad scored early and often as it sailed to an easy 16-2 win over Blue on Friday afternoon on a perfect day for baseball at Boshamer Stadium. Navy outhit Blue by a 21-7 margin, and each squad had one error.
Earl Semper lead all hitters by going 5-7 with one RBI and four runs scored. Joey Lancellotti was 3-5 with three RBI and two runs scored, while Angel Zarate was 3-5 with two RBI and three runs scored. Josh Ladowski was a perfect 3-3 with two RBI. Zack Gahagan, Ashton McGee and Jackson Hesterlee each had a pair of base hits.
Josh Ladowski had two doubles, while Dallas Tessar, Earl Semper and Joey Lancellotti each doubled. Ashton McGee had a triple, with Zack Gahagan and Micheal Busch both drilling long home runs.
Seven pitchers threw: Cole Aker, Cooper Criswell, Kyle Blendinger, Bo Weiss, Jake Randolph, Caden O'Brien and Ben Casparius.
The Tar Heels next scrimmage will be on Sunday afternoon.
