CHAPEL HILL—The North Carolina JV men's basketball team defeated Guilford College Thursday night in an 80-54 sweep for their second game of the season.
The Heels started gaining momentum with a big three-pointer by Caleb Ellis followed by a three by Brooks Palmer. The Heels went into the half with a substantial, 14-point lead (40-26).
The team returned from the locker room for another big half. Maintaining and building upon that lead, Devin Dukes' dunk secured the fate of the game.Â
The Tar Heels' leading scorers were Will Breck (14), Caleb Ellis (13), and Robbie O'Han (12). Matthew Statile lead Guilford College with 17 points. With two games under our belt, the rest of the season is looking promising.
