Carter Selected ACC Running Back Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - North Carolina sophomore Michael Carter was named Atlantic Coast Conference Running Back of the Week after an outstanding performance in week 7 of the 2018 season.Â
Carter rushed 18 times for a career-high 165 yards before a sold-out Kenan Stadium Saturday night against Virginia Tech. He averaged 9.2 yards per carry and caught two passes for 19 yards.Â
The Navarre, Florida, product has gained 280 yards on 31 carries in 2018, averaging 8.6 yards per rush in three games.
Carolina visits Syracuse this Saturday at 12:20 p.m. on Raycom. Also announced on Monday, the Tar Heels will face Virginia on Saturday, Oct. 27 in Charlottesville, Va., at 12:20 p.m.
