Blue Wins Friday's Scrimmage

Chapel Hill, NC -- The Blue squad scored four runs in both the fifth and six innings to roll to a 9-3 win on Friday afternoon under sunny skies at a cold and windy Boshamer Stadium.
Four players, all on the Blue squad, had multiple base hits. Michael Busch was 2-5 with five RBI and one run scored, including a home run and a three-run double. Kyle Datres was 3-4 while Ben Casparius and Zack Gahagan, who also homered, were both 2-2 at the plate. Ike Freeman and Casparius both had doubles.
Brett Daniels and Rodney Hutchison were the two starters, with Taylor Sugg, Trevor Gay and Joey Lancellotti throwing in relief.
The Tar Heels will hold their next scrimmage on Saturday.Â
