Cloutier & Rowlett Named All-ACC

All-ACC Team named by conference Thursday.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – University of North Carolina senior attackman Chris Cloutier and Tar Heel junior defenseman Jack Rowlett were named Thursday to the 2018 All-Atlantic Coast Conference men's lacrosse team which was voted upon by the league's head coaches and announced by the league office.
Both players were named to the preseason All-ACC Team which was announced in January. Both Cloutier and Rowlett earned their first ever All-ACC honors this season.
Cloutier was Carolina's leading scorer this year as the Kitchener, Ontario native scored 31 goals, added 10 assists, totaled 41 points and had 23 ground balls. During the course of the season, Cloutier, who started all 14 games, set the UNC school record by recording goals in 31 successive games.
Rowlett played both close defense and long stick defensive midfield. He started 12 games and tied for third on the team with 28 ground balls. He also had eight caused turnovers. He was the most dynamic Tar Heel defensive player in providing an offensive spark, scoring five goals and adding two assists.
