Wike, Pickett Garner ACC All-Tournament Honors

ATLANTA – Adding to their All-ACC first team honors, North Carolina's Taylor Wike and Brittany Pickett were named to the ACC All-Tournament team Saturday following the conclusion of the ACC Tournament, as voted on by the league's coaches.

Senior Taylor Wike went 2-for-6 in Atlanta, with a pair of stolen bases. Wike shined at short for Carolina, logging 11 outs while assisting three, including a diving grab down the third-base line on the second pitch of the semifinal game vs. Pitt. Throughout the season, Wike logged a .354 average and led the team with a .591 slugging percentage and .451 on-base percentage.

Sophomore Brittany Pickett tossed every inning for Carolina at the ACC Tournament, while going 3-for-6 at the plate. Pickett struck out 10 in 13.0 innings of work. In Thursday's quarterfinal vs. Georgia Tech, she drove in two of Carolina's six runs, including a solo home run for her eighth of the year. At the plate, Pickett hit .313 on the year with a 2.29 ERA at the rubber and 216 strikeouts.
