Peck Rolls Into Final At Gamecock Invite

North Carolina junior Josh Peck will play for the Flight A Championship Sunday at the Gamecock Fall Invite in Columbia, S.C. The tournament is the first action this fall for the UNC men's tennis team, and four Tar Heels competed there.
Peck faces Tennessee's Adam Walton at 9 a.m. in the final match. He beat another UT player, Scott Jones, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 in the semifinals Saturday to advance.
Walton got past Tar Heel sophomore Mac Kiger, in the third round. Kiger earned straight-sets win in his first two matches before falling to Walton.
UNC freshman Brian Cernoch also played in the A Draw, winning his opener before falling in the second round to Tennessee's Jones.

Junior Ladd Harrison competed in Flight B, winning his opener before falling to Georgia's Blake Croyder in the second round.

In doubles, UNC's Kiger and Cernoch won their first match but lost in the second to fall to the losers' bracket.
UNC's Peck and Harrison also teamed up in doubles but lost in their first match.
