Softball Monday & Tuesday Night Clinics to Begin Sept. 24

CHAPEL HILL – Back by popular demand, the North Carolina softball coaching staff will once again host Monday night clinics. Associate head coaches Mary Jo Firnbach and Chelsey Barclay will instruct players from grades 6-12 on hitting and pitching.

The Monday night clinics begin on Sept. 24 and continue every Monday through Dec. 3 with the exception of Nov. 12. The pitching session (max. 10 participants) will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m, while the hitting session (max. 20 participants) will go from 7:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. The cost to attend either the hitting or the pitching clinic is $500 for 10 weeks or $900 for both sessions. Both clinics are open to all players from grades 6-12.

New to 2018, director of operations Katelyn Shifflett '18 and volunteer coach Kiwi Mateen '16 will be offering an infield/outfield defense clinic (6-7 p.m.) and Mateen will also be offering a slapping clinic (7:15-8:15 p.m.) on Tuesdays this fall on Sept. 25, Oct. 2, Oct. 9, Oct. 16 and Oct. 23. The cost to attend the defense or slapping clinic is $175 for five weeks or $300 for both sessions.
