Fall Scrimmages & World Series Dates Set

CHAPEL HILL --- The North Carolina baseball team will host Walters State on Saturday, Sept., 29 and the College of Charleston on Sunday, Oct. 7, before holding its annual Fall World Series intrasquad contents October 12-14. The scrimmage against Walters State will begin at 1:45 p.m. while the match against the College of Charleston will be at 12 p.m.Â

A familiar face will be in the visiting dugout on October 7 as former Tar Heel player and coach Chad Holbrook brings the Cougars to Chapel Hill during his second season as head coach.

Carolina baseball's annual Fall World Series will begin with the first of three intrasquad contests on Friday, Oct. 12, at 6 p.m. at Boshamer Stadium. Action will continue on Saturday at 12 p.m. before the series finale Sunday at 1 p.m.

In addition to the Fall World Series, October 12-14 also marks the program's annual Old Leaguer's reunion as well as UNC's parents' weekend. For more information about the Old Leaguer's weekend, contact Dave Arendas at arendas@unc.edu
