Carolina Faces NC State Wednesday on ACCN

CHAPEL HILL – Returning to North Carolina, the Tar Heels wrap up their three-match ACC road trip at NC State on Wednesday at 7 p.m. live on the ACC Network from Reynolds Coliseum.
Recently for the Tar Heels (3-9, 0-2 ACC)
Carolina battled through 30 tie scores and 11 lead changes, however the Tar Heels fell in straight sets at Notre Dame to begin conference play.
UNC out-dug the Irish, 52-49 led by a match-best, 19 digs from Mia Fradenburg. Lauren Harrison guided Carolina's attack with 13 kills on a .455 clip while Carly Peck tripled her career-best to six blocks.
After winning the first set, North Carolina fought point-for-point against the Cardinals, but Carolina was unable to overcome Louisville, falling 3-1. Working through 38 tie scores and 16 lead changes, Carolina was the first to 20 in all but one set against the Cardinals.
The Tar Heels recorded a season best, 15.0 blocks against Louisville. This is most blocks since UNC also had 15.0 vs. NC State on Sept. 26, 2018.
Three Tar Heels set single-match career-bests vs. the Cardinals: Lauren Harrison with 19 kills, Destiny Cox with six total blocks and Mia Fradenburg with 25 digs - reset from 24 set vs. Auburn on Sept. 2, 2017.

Returning home for the first time since Sept. 10, NC State hosts Carolina to begin a four-match homestand Wednesday. The Wolfpack is coming off a 2-3 loss at Louisville and fell in straight sets at Notre Dame. Junior opposite Melissa Evans leads the team with 220 kills while Kaylee Frazier has 223 digs to-date this season.
