GREENSBORO, N.C. – Leading the Tar Heels to their fourth straight ACC win, Lauren Harrison was named the ACC Player of the Week as announced Monday afternoon by the conference office. This is the Tar Heels' second weekly honor this season as well as it is the first player of the week honor since 2017.

Redshirt-freshman Harrison helped UNC to its first win over a ranked foe since 2016. The Stone Mountain, Georgia native totaled 37 kills to average 4.11 per set, attacking at a team-best .299 clip. The outside-hitter tallied six kills in two sets against both Miami and Florida State. For the third time in two weeks, Harrison reset her single-match career-high to 24 kills against No. 23 FSU, up from 19 in September. Defensively, she was perfect in serve-receive and posted five blocks, including two solo blocks, vs. Florida State.

The Tar Heels travel to Pittsburgh and Virginia on Friday and Sunday, respectively. The Heels will be back in Carmichael Area on Friday, October 25 to face Syracuse.
