Navy Wins The Fall World Series With A 10-1 Victory

Chapel Hill, NC - The Navy squad exploded for ten total runs in the fifth and sixth innings to roll to a 10-1 win over Blue and capture the Fall World Series title on Saturday at Boshamer Stadium.
Danny Serretti gave Blue its only run of the game on a first-inning home run to right center before Navy began its comeback in the fifth inning. Navy's first run scored on Aaron Sabato's bases-loaded walk. Patrick Alvarez drove in two more runs with a single before Will Schroeder made it 4-1 with an RBI double.
Navy then put the game away with six more runs in the sixth. Aaron Sabato made it 6-1 with a two-run double, then Will Schroeder's run-scoring single put Navy up 7-1. Tyler Kehoe drove in another run with a single before Dallas Tessar's two-run double finished off the six-run inning.
Nik Pry and Nick James combined to hold Blue to one run on four hits. Pry gave up one run on three hits while striking out six and walking none in 4.1 innings. James finished off the win with 2.2 scoreless innings while giving up just one hit. Connor Ollio, Shawn Rapp, Kyle Mott and Bennett Nance threw for Blue.
