Navy Takes Friday's Scrimmage

Chapel Hill, NC - The Navy squad jumped out to a 6-0 lead after three innings and sailed to an 8-4 win in an eight-inning scrimmage on Friday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium. Navy outhit Blue by an 11-6 margin and had no errors to three for Blue.
Dallas Tessar was 3-6 at the plate for Navy, while three other Navy players had two hits apiece. Angel Zarate was 2-4 with one run scored, Patrick Alvarez was 2-2 with three runs scored while Earl Semper was 2-2 with one RBI and two runs scored.
Dylan Harris was 2-3 with one RBI for Blue and Mikey Madej was 2-4 with one RBI and one run scored. Madej drilled a solo homer to right in the fifth, while Alvarez, Semper, Harris and Aaron Sabato each had a double.Â
Five pitchers saw action: Michael Oh, Joey Lancellotti, Andrew Grogan, Kyle Blendinger and Nick James.
The Tar Heels will next scrimmage on Saturday.
