Tar Heel Men’s Lacrosse To Play In Breschi Scholarship Scrimmage

TOWSON, MD. – The University of North Carolina men's lacrosse team completes its fall ball season this Saturday when the Tar Heels scrimmage against the Ohio State Buckeyes at Calvert Hall College at 6 p.m.

The event, the eighth annual, benefits the Michael R. Breschi Scholarship Fund at Ohio State. Fall Ball Lacrosse at Calvert Hall Lacrosse Stadium has turned into an annual event to benefit this tremendous cause. UNC head coach Joe Breschi was the head coach at OSU from 1997 to 2008. His young son Michael passed away in 2003 during his tenure as head coach of the Buckeyes and the Scholarship Fund was founded in Michael's memory.

All events will be held on Saturday, October 12. Calvert Hall is located at 8102 LaSalle Road, Towson, MD 21286.

A youth clinic for players grades one through eight will be held at 4 p.m. led by coaches and players from both teams on Calavert Hall's side turf field.

Then beginning at 6 p.m. the OSU and UNC teams will scrimmage at Calvert Hall Stadium. Admission is $5 with kids under 12 years old attending free of charge.

There will also be a post game meal and tailgate with the UNC/OSU teams at Calvert Hall's Dining Hall. Cost is $20.

All proceeds benefit the Michael R. Breschi Scholarship fund (www.mrbthumbsup.org).
