Kiger & Soendergaard Reach ITA Fall Nationals Semifinal

NEWPORT BEACH, CALIF.—The University of North Carolina's Mac Kiger and Simon Soendergaard advanced to the doubles semifinals on Friday evening at the 2019 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, beating Matias Soto and Ryan Dickerson of Baylor by a 6-3, 6-4 score.
Kiger and Soendergaard won 72 percent of their first serve points (28 of 39) to just 50 percent for Soto and Dickerson (16 of 32). They also won 4 of 9 break points on the night,
The Tar Heel duo advances to Saturday's semifinals to face eighth-seeded Robert Cash and John McNally of Ohio State at 6 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday.
