#1 UNC Hosts Notre Dame, UofL This Weekend

CHAPEL HILL – The No. 1 ranked North Carolina women's tennis team hosts two matches this weekend against No. 44 Notre Dame on Friday at 3 p.m. and No. 49 Louisville on Sunday at 1 p.m. Free admission and free pizza on FREE FOOD FRIDAY's for all spectators at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.

The Tar Heels started off ACC play last Friday against Boston College. They took home the victory, topping the Eagles 5-2 in Chestnut Hill, Mass. North Carolina (14-1, 2-0 ACC) also faced No. 11 NC State on Wednesday and ended the day with a 5-2 win over in Raleigh.
For the Tar Heels, the duo of Makenna Jones and Cameron Morra check in at No. 4 in the rankings, while Jessie Aney and Alexa Graham are 16th. UNC hasn't lost the doubles point in 15 matches thus far in 2019.
Carolina's lineup consists of five ranked singles players: Makenna Jones (2), Alexa Graham (5), Sara Daavettila (6), Cameron Morra (27) and Alle Sanford (122). Graham and Morra were named ACC Player and Freshman of the Week, respectively, for their strong work last week. Graham has won the award three times in the last four weeks, while Morra has twice been named the top rookie in the league before the calendar turns to March.
The Tar Heels are a perfect 7-0 playing at home thus far in 2019 and have won 12 dual matches in a row going back to last spring.
Notre Dame is 8-3 overall and 2-1 in ACC play. The Irish doubles team of Cameron Corse and Zoe Spence are 44th, according to the newest ITA rankings.
The Cardinals are 2-1 in conference play and 10-3 overall. UofL faces the Wolfpack on Friday, before Sunday's afternoon tilt.
