• Carolina is now 19-4 overall, 9-1 in the ACC and 11-1 at home this season.
• This is the first time Carolina is 9-1 in Roy Williams' 16 seasons as head coach.
• Carolina has won at least 19 games in all 16 of Williams' seasons.
• Carolina is 1-0 in overtime this year and 11-10 under Roy Williams.
• Carolina has won eight of its last 11 overtime games under Williams.
• Miami (14) and Carolina (13) combined for 27 three-pointers, which tie the third most in any game in the Smith Center. UNC and Virginia Tech combined for a record 29 two home games ago on 1/21.
• Carolina committed 10 turnovers, which ties the fewest this season in an ACC game (also at Louisville).
• Miami's 14 three-pointers are the most by an opponent this year (previous 13 by Virginia Tech).
• This was the first time this season UNC has won a game when it was out-rebounded. It was just the third time UNC has been out-rebounded this year (previously in losses to Kentucky and Louisville).
• This is the first time UNC won consecutive games allowing 85 or more points (NC State scored 96 on 2/5) since a 101-87 win over Tennessee (11/24/2006) and a 98-89 win over Ohio State on 11/29/2007.
Â
• Coby White led all scorers with 33 points and added a game-high six assists.
• It's the first time a Tar Heel had at least 33 points and six assists since Joseph Forte (38 and 6) vs. Tulsa on 11/11/2000.
• It's just the fourth time ever a Tar Heel had at least 33 points and six assists (Charlie Scott did it twice and Forte in 2000).
• White's 33 points tie the 33 he scored against Texas on 11/22 for the third most by a Tar Heel freshman. Tyler Hansbrough scored 40 vs. Georgia Tech on 2/15/2006 and Harrison Barnes had 40 against Clemson on 3/12/2011.
• White is the second UNC freshman to score 30 or more twice (J.R. Reid had 31 twice in 1986-87), but the first to score as many as 33 twice.
• White made seven threes (he also did that against Texas), which equals the seventh most made in a game by any Tar Heel and equals the second most by a UNC freshman (Raymond Felton made eight vs. NC State in 2003 as a freshman).
• It was the fifth time White has scored 20 or more points -- four times in ACC play.Â
• White's 11 field goals are the most by a Tar Heel this year (he made 10 against Texas and Luke Maye made 10 vs. NC State).
• White is the first freshman to score 20 in consecutive games (had 21 against NC State) since Harrison Barnes in 2011.
Â
• Luke Maye hit a game-tying three-pointer with 10.2 seconds to play and finished with 20 points. It was the first time Miami had not led since the 13:48 mark of the second half.
• It was Maye's sixth 20-point game of the season and 19th of his career.
Â
• Kenny Williams made one three-pointer, but it came with 2:08 to play in overtime and gave Carolina an 82-79 lead, its first lead since it led 47-45 with just under 14 minutes to play in the second half.
Â
• Nassir Little scored in double figures (10) for the 13th time. UNC is 12-1 in those games.
