Robinson Selected For Assistant Coaches Hall Of Fame

CHAPEL HILL – Steve Robinson, in his 16th season as assistant men's basketball coach at the University of North Carolina, is one of eight Division I coaches selected to the A STEP UP Assistant Coaches Hall of Fame.
A STEP UP is in its 10th year of educating and inspiring collegiate assistant coaches at all NCAA levels. A STEP UP will induct its inaugural Hall of Fame class on May 7 in Atlanta at its annual professional development symposium.
Robinson came to Chapel Hill with head coach Roy Williams in 2003 and has helped lead the Tar Heels to NCAA championships in 2005, 2009 and 2017, two additional Final Four appearances, three ACC Tournament championships and eight ACC regular-season titles. Robinson also was an assistant on Williams' staff at Kansas for eight seasons, helping the Jayhawks reach the Final Four three times.
Robinson will enter the assistant coaches' Hall of Fame with seven other Division I coaches: Gonzaga's Donny Daniels, Connecticut's Chris Dailey, Mickie DeMoss, Florida State's Stan Jones, Notre Dame's Carol Owens, Michigan State's Dwayne Stephens and Stanford's Amy Tucker.
