Late Night With Roy Details Announced

CHAPEL HILL—Late Night with Roy presented by Utz, the 17th annual ceremonial season tipoff for Carolina Basketball, will be the first opportunity to see the Tar Heels start their 2019-20 season in style.Â
Fans are invited to come into the Smith Center on Friday September 27 as the team looks ahead to another promising campaign with four new starters. Late Night will include basketball skills challenges, dances and fun while culminating in the team's Blue/White intrasquad scrimmage.Â
The ACC Network Extra will stream the event live.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m, and admission is free. The event will begin at 8 p.m. Check @UNC_Basketball and @LateNightwRoy on Twitter and the video board in front of the new Media Communications Center (next door to the Smith Center) for event-related messaging.
The Carolina Basketball Museum will be open to the public until 7 p.m.
A pair of Tar Heels will host the evening's festivities: former UNC soccer and current United States World Cup gold medal-winning goalie Ashlyn Harris and CNN's Brooke Baldwin.

Representatives from Utz will be on hand to give out 10,000 bags of chips and chip clips to the first 5,000 fans in the Smith Center. Fan giveaways will include 10,000 LED batons and 10,000 roll-up banners, as well an opportunity to win one of three $100 gift cards from Dunkin Donuts.

TAR HEEL EXPRESS SHUTTLES
Tar Heel Express shuttle bus service will operate from the Friday Center (located off Highway 54 on Friday Center Drive) beginning at 6 p.m. for a $5 fare (round-trip). The shuttles will provide continuous and fully accessible service, running every 10-15 minutes between the Friday Center and the Smith Center. The shuttles will operate for 45 minutes following the end of Late Night. One-way trips are $3. Click here for more information.

Limited public parking will be available in the Rams Head Deck beginning at 3 p.m.Â

Public parking will officially open at 5 p.m. Parking for Late Night with Roy is $10, and exact change is appreciated to facilitate traffic flow into the lots.Â

Limousine Parking
Limo parking is available on Blythe Drive only at $20 per vehicle. Limos are not allowed to drop off or pick up passengers in front of the Smith Center. These areas are reserved to accommodate Tar Heel Express shuttle busses.Â
Charter Bus Parking
Charter bus accommodation requests should be submitted at least 72 hours in advance by completing the Basketball Request Form. Charter bus parking is $40 per game.

On-campus charter bus accommodations are limited and space is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.  Busses are parked and staged on Blythe Drive between Craige Drive and Hibbard Drive.Â

Accessibility Parking is reserved in the Williamson Lot located off of Bowles Drive for $10 per vehicle.

Patrons with a state (any state) disability permit or license plate may park in this location.

Patrons with a temporary mobility issue that do not have a state issued accessibility permit or plate may arrange for a game day disability parking permit by contacting Transportation and Parking Services at 919-962-3951 or submit requests by completing the Basketball Request Form.

Golf cart shuttles provides service from the Williamson Lot to the front of the Smith Center.

The Golf Cart Shuttles are provided on a first-come, first-served basis and only pick-up and drop-off at doors "A" and "B" of the Smith Center.

Carolina Athletics encourages fans to leave all bags at home, but the following items will be allowed into the Dean E. Smith Center:
• Any clear plastic or vinyl bag no larger than 12" x 12" x 20", including gallon freezer bags
• Small clutch purses no larger than 4.5" x 6.5"
• Necessary medical items following inspection at entry gates
• All prohibited items must be returned to your vehicles or discarded at the gates.
• No weapons of any kind are allowed to enter Dean E. Smith Center
