Heels Ranked No. 23 In D1 Baseball Preseason Poll

Chapel Hill -- North Carolina will open the 2020 college baseball season ranked No. 23 nationally by D1 Baseball, the website announced in its preseason poll Wednesday. Carolina is one of eight teams in the ACC ranked in the top 25 and are joined by No. 1 Louisville, No. 3 Miami, No. 12 Florida State, No. 15 Duke, No.16 NC State, No. 18 Wake Forest and No. 19 Georgia Tech.

UNC will face Louisville, NC State, Miami, Duke, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest and Virginia in league play as well as ECU who was ranked No. 21.
The Tar Heels open up the 2020 season with nine straight home games beginning on Feb. 14 with a three-game series against Middle Tennessee State.Â
