Carolina Notes
• Tar Heels drop their sixth conference game in a row and 10th game overall in their last 13 games.
• UNC is 8-10 overall and 1-6 in the ACC.
• UNC has lost six consecutive ACC games for the first time.
• UNC is 1-6 in the ACC for the first time.
• UNC has lost five in a row for the first time since 2002-03.
• This was Carolina's first double overtime game since beating Clemson in Chapel Hill on 2/10/2008.
• Carolina is 13-10 in games that go to at least double overtime.
• Carolina shot 51.6 percent from the floor in the first half, the first time this season it shot 50 percent in the first half (and the fifth time in any half).
• UNC was 16 for 31 from the floor in the first half and 12 of 33 over the next 30 minutes of regulation and two overtimes.
• Carolina missed 42 shots (36 FGs and six FTs) but had a season-low six offensive rebounds that led to a season-low two second-chance points. Justin Pierce scored after a missed FG attempt in the second overtime to give UNC a 71-70 lead for its only second-chance points. The previous low was eight second-chance points against Ohio State and Clemson.
• It is the fewest second-chance points since UNC had one at Georgia Tech last season.
• UNC did not score a fastbreak point for the first time since at Louisville in 2018.
• Carolina played without senior Brandon Robinson (lingering neck pain after a car accident on Jan. 11).Â
• Tonight was the seventh different starting lineup for UNC in 18 games. Seven is the most since 2013-14.
• Including missed games tonight by Cole Anthony, Anthony Harris, Sterling Manley and Brandon Robinson, scholarship players have now missed 57 games due to injuries, the third most in the Roy Williams Era (64 in 2009 and 63 in 2012).

Tar Heel Player Notes
• Carolina played seven players, including four who played at least 45 minutes (48:21 by Garrison Brooks, 48:00 by Andrew Platek, 47:21 by Leaky Black and 45:53 by Justin Pierce).
• Brooks had his sixth double-double in a row with 28 points and 13 rebounds. He led all players on both teams in scoring and rebounds and also had a team-high six assists. The 13 rebounds and six assists tied his career bests.
• Brooks is the first Tar Heel with six double-doubles in a row since John Henson had nine in a row in 2011.
• Brooks made a career-high 11 field goals and his 18 field goal attempts tied his career high (Georgia Tech).
• Justin Pierce made his first start as a Tar Heel and had 15 points and eight rebounds. The 15 points are the second most in his UNC career. He made three 3FGs, the most since he made four at UNCW in the second game of the season on Nov. 8.
• Leaky Black made a career-high three 3FGs and scored a career-high 12 points. It was the first time he has scored in double figures as a Tar Heel.

• The five-game losing streak is the second-longest in Williams' 32 seasons as a head coach (eight at Kansas in 1988-89).
