• Tar Heels have won two in a row.
• This is the seventh win in a row for UNC at NC State, the longest streak for UNC at NC State.
• Carolina shot 49.1 percent from the floor, its second highest this season (season-high 58.0 in the previous game against Miami).
• Carolina shot 53.3 percent from the floor in the first half, its third straight game shooting 50 percent in the first half (after not doing that in the first 17 games).

Â
Tar Heel Player Notes
• Garrison Brooks tied his career high with 11 field goals (also 11 two games ago at Virginia Tech).
• Brooks had 25 and 11 for his ninth double of the season and his career (has seven in the last eight games).
• Armando Bacot had his eighth double-double with 11 and 11. The eight double-doubles are the fourth most by a UNC freshman and the most by a UNC freshman since Antawn Jamison had 13 in 1995-96.
• Brandon Robinson went 7 for 7 from the free throw line. His previous career high for made free throws was five. He went 4 for 4 from the line in the final 50 seconds after UNC had missed its previous five attempts.
• Robinson had x-rays after the game to check bruised ribs. The x-rays were negative.
• Robinson had 11 points but did not make a three-pointer for the first time in eight games. In fact, he made three or more in each of the previous seven games, which tied the second-best streak in UNC history. Donald Williams made three or more in the final eight games of the 1993 post-season; Dante Calabria made three or more in seven straight in 1995-96.
• Robinson was a game-high plus 20.
• Leaky Black scored 11 points and seven rebounds. It was his second career double-figure scoring game (both in the last three games).
• Andrew Platek scored eight points, which matched his ACC scoring high this season.
