Why Carolina? I chose Carolina because it felt like a family. I didn't want to stay close to home, but my goal was to find a place that valued me as more than a softball player. I found that here. I also really liked the culture and how most everyone in athletics is there for each other.
Favorite Softball Memory: My favorite softball memory so far is at the Sparkler tournament in Colorado when I was playing travel ball. It was my first at-bat of the game and I was down in the count. The pitcher threw a pitch inside and I turned on it. I put all my strength into the pitch and hit a home run. It was my first home run ever.
Favorite Coach P Saying: Whenever it is a nice day outside, Coach P always says "I'm just so happy to be out here."
Favorite former Carolina player: Vince Carter
Ideal batting practice group: I like hitting with the biggest hitters on the team. I don't have much size on me, so hitting with the power hitters forces me to use all I have in me and hit as hard as I can.
Favorite place on campus: The quad: I love going and studying there.
Major: I am currently a biology major but may switch. I will stay in the sciences though.
Dream job/occupation: My dream job is somewhere working with kids. I love kids and want to be able to have an impact on their lives. I would ideally be able to do this in the health care field.
Pregame Superstition: I don't really have a pregame routine. Although, I usually eat at least one pack of almonds before every game. Before games I usually keep to myself and like to think through my swings and focus in on my body.
Greatest Sports Moment: I would say my greatest sports moment was my freshman year of high school. I was starting in left field all year. My team did well, and we won the Section Championship. In my area, the farthest your team can make it is sections so winning that was important. It was also my school's third year in a row winning. It was such a cool experience to be a part of. Now I have a ring to show off.
Hidden Talent: I am good at painting.
Favorite Movie: Shrek
If you could be on a reality TV show what would it be? Wipeout
Favorite place to be: My favorite place to be is wherever my family is. I really value my relationship with my mom and my brothers so whenever and wherever I am around them, works for me.
One word to describe myself: Humble
