Carter, Surratt Earn Invites To Senior Bowl

CHAPEL HILL - North Carolina senior standouts Michael Carter and Chazz Surratt have been invited to the Senior Bowl on Jan. 30, 2021 in Mobile, Alabama.Â
Carter, a running back from Navarre, Fla., has shined in his senior season for the Tar Heels. He ranks fourth in the Atlantic Coast Conference in total scrimmage yards (129.5) and rushing yards (100.9) per game.Â
Considered one of the best all-around players in all of college football, Carter has earned a spot on the Paul Hornung Award (most versatile player in major college football) Honor Roll four times during the 2020 season.Â
Carter was the ACC Running Back of the Week and listed on the Pro Football Focus (PFF) National Team of the Week after his 214-yard rushing performance in the win over Virginia Tech.Â
Hailing from Denver, N.C., Surratt has led the Carolina defense from his linebacker position in tackles (68) and sacks (5.0) and sits second with 6.5 tackles for loss.Â
Surratt has been named ACC Linebacker of the Week twice this season and was the was the Chuck Bednarik Award national defensive player of the week after his outstanding effort against Syracuse in the season opener.
