• Javonte Williams grades out as the top running back in all of college football this season with a 95.7 rushing grade. He avoided 11 tackles last Saturday to increase his college football leading total to 74 avoided tackles in 2020. Carter is sixth nationally with 45 avoided tackles.
• Williams and Carter are No. 1 and No. 2 nationally with 42 and 41 rushes of 10 or more yards, respectively. Williams' 72 first downs is the top figure among all running backs this season.
• Carter's 7.9 yard per carry average is second in the country among running backs with 100 carries. The 7.9 yards per attempt is on pace to smash the Tar Heel record that was set by Charlie Justice in 1946 with a mark of 7.2 yards/attempt. Williams averages 7.4 yards per carry.
• PFF's "Elusive Rating" has Williams over 45 points better than his next closest competitor. A measure of how hard it is to bring down a running back.
• Carter owns the best breakaway percentage in the nation, having gained 780 yards on 29 designed runs that resulted in 15 yards or more. That equates to 62.7 percent of his 1,245 yards this season.
