Howell Tabbed A Finalist For Manning Award

NEW ORLEANS - North Carolina sophomore quarterback Sam Howell has been named among 12 finalists for The Manning Award. The winner will be announced after the bowl games are completed in January.
Howell leads all ACC quarterbacks in passing touchdowns (27), passing yards (3,352), yards per game (304.7) and passer rating (182.23). Across the nation, he ranks third in yards and tied for fifth in TD passes.
Carolina finished the regular season 8-3 in the second year of Mack Brown's return to Chapel Hill. The Heels are currently ranked 15th in the CFP Playoff poll and await their bowl destination, which will be determined on Sunday, Dec. 20.
