Licea Homers in Setback at Lipscomb

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Despite Kiersten Licea's third home run of the season, North Carolina fell at Lipscomb, 12-2 in five innings on Wednesday evening in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Lady Bison plated four runs in the first, second and fourth innings for the win despite a sacrifice fly by Lexi Godwin in the second and Licea's solo shot in the fourth. Bri Stubbs tallied her fourth multi-hit game in the loss. Carolina falls to 10-14 while Lipscomb improves to 12-10.

The Tar Heels' roadtrip continues at Virginia for a three-day ACC series beginning Friday at 4 p.m. in Charlottesville, Virginia.
