Carter Named To Hornung Award Watch List

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - North Carolina senior running back and returner Michael Carter has been named to the 2020 Watch List for the Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse, announced Thursday by The Louisville Sports Commission.
Carter, from Navarre, Florida, led Carolina and sat fourth in the ACC in 2019 with 1,623 all-purpose yards (124.8 ypg). He rushed for a career-high 1,003 yards, had 466 return yards and 154 receiving yards during his junior campaign.
His efforts on the field placed him among the conference's best players as a third-team running back, while also receiving honorable mention honors for all-purpose.
The Paul Hornung Award is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville Sports Commission and football legend and Louisville native Paul Hornung.
