Surratt Tabbed Bednarik Award Player Of The Week

Carolina linebacker Chazz Surratt has been selected as the Chuck Bednarik Award Player of the Week.
One day removed from earning ACC Linebacker of the Week honors, the Denver, North Carolina, standout registered a team-topping nine tackles, and set career highs with a pair of sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss in the 31-6 victory over Syracuse.
Surratt began his senior campaign placed on three award watch lists: The Nagurski Trophy, the Butkus Award and the Bednarik Award.
No. 12 UNC returns to action this Saturday at home against Charlotte. Kick off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on the Regional Sports Network.
