Rachel Jones Named Top Drawer Soccer Player of the Week

CHAPEL HILLÂ - After two impressive performances against Wake Forest and Virginia Tech, TopDrawerSoccer.com named Rachel Jones Offensive Player of the Week.
The Lawrenceville, Ga. native scored a career-high two goals and recorded an assist against Wake Forest en route to a 4-1 win. Her first goal showcased a tremendous display of grit, as she stole the ball from the goalkeeper and put it away to give the Tar Heels a 2-0 lead at the 23' minute mark. Her second score came from a penalty kick in the 58th minute.
Against Virginia Tech on Sunday, the junior recorded a pair of shots.
The Tar Heels look to remain unbeaten against Duke on Sunday (Sept. 27)Â at 3:30 p.m. on the ACC Network.
