Carolina Notes
• UNC is 8-4, 3-2 in the ACC (4-0 at home) this season.
• Carolina scored a season-high 81 points (previous was 80 in a 13-point loss at Iowa).
• Carolina is 308-39 in 18 seasons under Roy Williams when it scores 80 or more points.
• The Tar Heels had 24 offensive rebounds, three more than Syracuse had defensive rebounds.
• The 24 offensive rebounds led to 24 second-chance points, the third most this season and the fourth time this season UNC scored 20 or more second-chance points.
• Carolina led, 36-26, at the under 4-minute timeout in the first half. It was the third time this season UNC led by double figures in the first half of a game (10 vs. College of Charleston and 11 at Georgia Tech).

Tar Heel Player Notes
• Garrison Brooks had his first double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds and added two assists, two blocks and tied his career high with three steals.
• It was his 13th career double-double.
• Brooks scored 14 points in the first half, the most he has scored in a half this season. He scored 11 in the second half against both Texas and Iowa.
• Brooks made his first start in four games.
• Armando Bacot had his third double-double of the season with 15 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. He also had two assists and no turnovers, his best assist-error rate of the season.
• It was Bacot's 14th career double-double.
• Kerwin Walton made 15 of his first 17 field goals from three-point range entering the game. His first three field goals tonight were two-pointers. He did make one three in the second half and finished with nine points.
• RJ Davis made multiple three-pointers for the first time since at Iowa on December 8.
• Davis scored 12 points, his first time in double fugures since he had 11 at NC State.
• Leaky Black had a season-high seven assists and one turnover. His previous high this season was four assists at NC State.
• Black blocked a career-high three shots.
