UNC’s Co-Most Improved Player (Danny Green Award) • Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District 3 team • Started every game and averaged 13.5 points and 3.6 assists • Led the team with 142 assists and 40 steals, was second free throw percentage (.833) and three-point percentage (.367), third in three-pointers (66) and fourth in scoring • Averaged 14.7 points over a team-high 37.7 minutes per game, had 30 assists/12 turnovers and made 29 for 31 from the free throw line in the NCAA Tournament • The 30 assists and 5.0 assists per game are the second most by a Tar Heel in a six-game NCAA Tournament series • UNC was 15-4 when he scored 15 or more points • Eighth in the ACC in assist/turnover ratio (1.9) and ninth in assists • Scored in double figures 28 times • Scored 15 or more points in 13 of 20 ACC games • Shot 44.8% from the floor, 40.3% from three and had 116 assists/50 turnovers in UNC’s wins • Led UNC in scoring four times, assists 16 times and plus/minus 10 times • Made multiple threes 19 times (UNC 15-4), including six vs. Brown and five vs. Syracuse and Baylor • Played the entire game three times (45 minutes vs. Baylor and 40 at Duke and vs. Kansas).

Born RJ Davis on Oct. 21, 2001, in White Plains, N.Y. • Son of Robert and Venessa Davis • His dad scored 2,118 points (without a three-point shot) from 1982-86 at Mercy College and still holds the Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., school’s career scoring record • Member of the National Honor Society • Wears No. 4 because his birthday (10/21) adds up to 4 (1-0-2-1) • Wore that number as a high school sophomore when Stepinac won city and state titles • Also played football and soccer • Earned his UNC degree in May 2024 in exercise and sport science in the sport administration program • Enrolled in an MBA certificate proram in leadership development in 2024-25.
