Men's Tennis Cruises On Day 1 Of ACC Challenge

CHAPEL HILL—North Carolina won five of six doubles matches in a dominating performance on day one of the Atlantic Coast Conference Challenge on Saturday.
Players from North Carolina, Duke, NC State and Virginia Tech took part in the ACC Challenge on Saturday, with singles action taking place in Durham hosted by Duke and doubles competition in Chapel Hill hosted by UNC.
Senior William Blumberg and sophomore Rinky Hijikata teamed up as a doubles duo for the first time as Tar Heels and won both of their matches. Senior Simon Soendergaard and freshman Adam Neff also went 2-0, while the team of freshman Peter Murphy and sophomore Anuj Watane split its two matches.
