Meet the Heels: #21 Shayla Thompson

This week's Meet the Heels segment continues with the juniors. Shayla Thompson is an outfielder from Newton, North Carolina. Starting 21 games in 2020, the junior hit .311 with 14 hits and 10 runs scored. Thompson was perfect on the base paths, stealing six bases on six attempts. The outfielder also registered a six-game hitting streak from Feb. 28 through March 8 vs. ACC opponents, Pittsburgh and Syracuse.
