Volleyball Earns 3-0 Road Sweep At Boston College

CHESTNUT HILL, Ma. – The Carolina volleyball team earned its first ACC road victory of the season on Friday night, defeating Boston College in straight sets (25-20, 25-10, 25-13).
Emily Zinger and Mabrey Shaffmaster led the team with nine kills each, while Amanda Phegley, who contributed a team-high four block assists and five kills, had a team-best .625 attacking clip.
Libero Karenna Wurl, who missed the last three games, returned to the starting lineup, contributing 15 digs and four assists.
Setter Meghan Neelon had 36 assists and 10 digs, while Olivia Diaz and Shaffmaster each had two aces from the service line.
The Heels (14-4, 3-4 ACC), who hit .314, held Boston College (12-9, 2-5 ACC) to a .048 attacking percentage, the lowest any Carolina opponent has hit this season.
UNC improves to 24-1 over the Eagles in the all-time series, including 12-1 in Chestnut Hill.
Up next for the Heels is a 1 p.m. matchup with Syracuse on Sunday.
