Tar Heels Take On Virginia For Regular-Season Finale

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – North Carolina wraps up the field hockey regular season on Friday afternoon with an Atlantic Coast Conference road matchup at Virginia.
Game time at the Cavaliers' University Turf Field is 5 p.m. and the action will air live on ACC Network Extra.
The Tar Heels (9-6, 3-2 ACC) are ranked 10th this week, while Virginia (10-6, 3-2 ACC) is No. 15.
The teams' last meeting was in April in Charlottesville. In that game, played on April 9, 2021, the Tar Heels won 3-2 in overtime with Erin Matson scoring 58 seconds into the extra period on a pass from Paityn Wirth.
Next up for Carolina is the 2021 ACC Championship on Nov. 4, 5 and 7 in Syracuse, N.Y. The tournament bracket will be announced on Friday evening following the conclusion of the final regular-season games.
