Tar Heels Set for Two Ranked Duals in New Jersey

CHAPEL HILL - The 14th ranked North Carolina wrestling team (3-2, 0-0 ACC) hits the road again this season to take on No. 19 Wisconsin and No. 15 Rutgers on Nov. 27 at the Garden State Grapple in Newark, N.J. The Tar Heels wrestle the Badgers first at 5:30 p.m. before taking on the Scarlet Knights at 7:30 p.m. inside the Prudential Center.

The Tar Heels looked impressive in their 24-12 defeat of the Campbell on Sunday night in Carmichael Arena. The victory extended UNC's home dual win streak to four dating back to last season. The Tar Heels took seven out of 10 bouts from the Fighting Camels, highlighted by ranked wins at 174 and 185 by No. 15 Clay Lautt (3-2 Dec) and No. 23 Gavin Kane (7-3 Dec).

Scouting the Badgers
North Carolina and Wisconsin have met 13 times in the programs' histories, with the Badgers holding a 9-3-1 advantage. The teams had not wrestled since 2013 when UNC defeated Wisconsin 24-21. The first meeting between the schools took place during the 1983-84 season, with the Tar Heels dropping the match 21-19.
