Tar Heels Host Alabama State Tuesday at 1 PM

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The No. 25 North Carolina women's basketball team closes out nonconference play Tuesday, hosting Alabama State for a 1 p.m. game at Carmichael Arena.
The first 500 fans will get free Rameses holiday sweater t-shirts.
Fans are invited to bring new or gently-used children's books to donate to Book Harvest. Anyone who donates a book will receive a free ticket to Tuesday's game.
Parking for fans is available in the Raleigh Road Visitors Lot for an hourly rate of $1.75.

Tuesday's matchup is the second-ever meeting between Carolina (10-0) and the Alabama State Hornets (2-6). After this game, the Tar Heels have a nine-day holiday break and then dive full-time in to ACC play, hosting Syracuse on Dec. 30 in the first of back-to-back ACC home games.
UNC is off to a 10-0 start for the ninth time in school history. The Tar Heels are coming off their first Atlantic Coast Conference win of the season, a 76-73 victory over Boston College on Sunday afternoon in Chestnut Hill, Mass. The last time UNC won more than 10 to start the year was 2010-11, when the Tar Heels opened 14-0.
Deja Kelly leads the team in scoring with 16.9 points per game and has hit double figures in all 10 games this season. Alyssa Ustby is next with 15.2 points per game and Carlie Littlefield is contributing 11.5 ppg after a season-high 22 points on Sunday. Eva Hodgson is averaging 10.9 ppg off the bench.
