• The win was the 903rd for Roy Williams, which moves him into third place all-time in wins by a Division I coach. He entered the game tied with Bob Knight with 902. Williams is 903-262 in 33 seasons (485-161 at UNC).
• The Tar Heels are 104-48 in the ACC Tournament, including 47-13 in the quarterfinals. The 104 wins are one off the all-time record.
• UNC is 5-1 all-time as a No. 6 seed. The Tar Heels reached the finals of the 2018 Tournament in their only other time as a six seed.
• Carolina is 4-0 vs. Virginia Tech in ACC Tournament play.Â
• Williams is 29-14 as Carolina's head coach in the ACC Tournament.Â
• Carolina is 127-38 all-time in Greensboro.

• This was Carolina's second straight win over an AP-ranked opponent (No. 22 Virginia Tech and No. 11 Florida State on 2/27).
• Carolina has won three in a row for the first time since January, but is 13-5 since New Year's Day.
• Carolina scored 15 of its 17 second-chance points in the second half, when it scored 49 points.
• The Tar Heels had two offensive rebounds (on 16 missed shots) in the first half and 13 offensive rebounds on 27 misses in the second half.
• Carolina came into the game averaging 16.7 second-chance points this season and had 17.
• Carolina committed 11 turnovers for the second consecutive game. That after averaging 20.0 turnovers in the last four games of the regular season.
• Virginia Tech scored nine points off turnovers. UNC's opponents averaged 19.7 in the previous six games.
• Carolina freshmen scored 26 consecutive points at one stretch in the first half. After senior Garrison Brooks scored UNC's first two points, six different freshmen scored the next 26. Sophomore Armando Bacot then scored UNCs last four points of the half.

• Freshman RJ Davis scored a season-high 19 points and made a season-high four threes (previous highs were 16 points vs. UNLV and at Florida State and three 3FGs vs. UNLV).
• Davis came into the game averaging 10.2 points over the last four games.
• Davis scored 14 of his 19 in the second half (he scored 14 or more in three games prior to this evening).
• Armando Bacot had his third double-double in the last four games and his seventh of the season (18th career) with 17 points and 13 rebounds and added a season-high four blocks.
• Bacot has scored 73 points in the last four games (18.3 ppg).
• It was Bacot's second consecutive game with 13 rebounds (also vs. Notre Dame). He has 47 rebounds in the last four games (11.8 per game).
• Bacot was scoreless until 1:54 left in the first half when he scored UNC's last four points of the half. He scored 10 straight points for UNC in the second half to give the Tar Heels a 68-58 lead.
• Bacot grabbed six of his 13 rebounds on the offensive boards. It was the fifth time this season he had six or more in a game.
• Leaky Black scored all eight of his points in the second half (the most he's scored in a game since he had 12 at Duke on 2/6), made two three-pointers (was 1 for 19 from three since he made 4 for 4 at Miami on 1/5) and tied for the team lead with three assists.
