Carolina Notes
• Carolina committed 20 turnovers that led to 28 Syracuse points. The 28 points off turnovers were the most by an opponent this season.
• Carolina has committed 60 turnovers in the last three games (19 vs. Marquette, 21 vs. Florida State). The Tar Heels have 40 assists and 60 turnovers in those three games.
• Syracuse made 15 steals that helped the Orange amass 20 fast break points. In the previous game, FSU had 16 steals that helped lead to 22 fast break points. Those are the only two times this season an opponent has scored 20 or more fast break points.
• Carolina outrebounded Syracuse, 53-33, including a 26-13 advantage on the offensive boards that led to 25 second-chance points for the Tar Heels.
• UNC's 53 rebounds were one off its season high vs. UNLV.
• The 25 second-chance points equal the second most by UNC this season and were the most since it had 25 against Texas on 12-2-20.
• For the second game in a row UNC had more offensive rebounds than its opponent had defensive. UNC grabbed 26 of its own misses, while the Orange had 20 defensive rebounds.

• Five different players for the Orange blocked a total of nine shots. UNC blocked one shot (by Armando Bacot).
• UNC shot 35.1 percent from the floor in the first half. It was the second game in a row and eighth this season UNC shot less than 40 percent from the floor in the first half.
• Syracuse's Buddy Boeheim scored 17 points in the first half. When the teams played on January 12, Boeheim had 18 first-half points, but was held scoreless in the second. Tonight, he added nine in the second to finish with a game-high 26.

• Armando Bacot led UNC with 18 points and 15 rebounds. It was his fifth double-double of the year and 16th of his career.
• Garrison Brooks (11) and Caleb Love (10) also scored in double figures.
• Love grabbed a season-high eight rebounds and led UNC with a plus 17.
• Bacot had eight offensive rebounds, which equals the single-game high by a Tar Heel this season.
• Kerwin Walton was 1 for 10 from the floor (0 for 7 from three). It was the first time in 16 games he did not make a three-pointer. He had made multiple threes in each of the last nine games.
