Perry Named To NCAA All-Tournament Team

E. HARTFORD, Conn. – UNC midfielder William Perry capped his Carolina career with a spot on the NCAA DI Men's Lacrosse All-Tournament Team, announced Monday at the conclusion of the championship at Pratt and Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.
Perry, a senior from Greenwich, Conn., scored a career-high five goals in the Tar Heels' 12-11 loss to eventual-champion Virginia in the semifinals on Saturday. His goals included the final two of the game as the Tar Heels made a late run, outscoring the Cavaliers 3-0 in the fourth quarter to narrow the final margin to one.
He finished the 2021 season with 33 goals and 15 assists for 48 points, all career highs. A second-year team captain for the Tar Heels, he ranked second in goals and points for UNC as a senior. He earned All-America honors from the USILA (third team), USA Lacrosse (second team), and Inside Lacrosse Media (second team).
