Walston Placed On Mackey Award Watch List

New York - North Carolina graduate student Garrett Walston has been placed on the 2021 John Mackey Award Preseason Watch List, given annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end.
Walston established new career highs with 19 catches for 255 yards and two touchdowns during the 2020 season. He scored Carolina's first touchdown of the season on an 11-yard reception against Syracuse and had a career-high 54 receiving yards at Florida State.
The Wilmington, N.C, native owns career totals of 29 receptions for 350 yards and three touchdowns spanning 36 games.
