Navy Cruises To An Easy Win On Friday

Chapel Hill, NC -- Â The Navy squad scored seven runs in the sixth inning to cruise to a 12-3 win over Blue in a seven-inning scrimmage on Friday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium on another perfect day for baseball.
Navy got on the board first when Patrick Alvarez scored on a wild pitch for an early 1-0 lead before picking up three more runs in the fourth. Will Stewart drove in a run with a triple to right center, then scored on a wild pitch. Johnny Castagnozzi followed with a solo homer to left.
A Castagnozzi RBI-single drove in the first run of the seven-run sixth. Max Riemer followed with a sacrifice fly to right before Hunter Stokely scored on a wild pitch. Clemente Inclan capped off the inning with a Grand Slam home run to right.
Blue picked up their three runs on an Alberto Osuna three-run homer to left in the bottom of the sixth.
Brandon Schaeffer, Gage Gillian, Connor Bovair, Nik Pry and Alden Segui all saw action on the mound.
NOTE: The new version of Trackman is still being tweeked, so a box score wasn't able to be built, limiting scrimmage information.
