Men's Lacrosse Announces 2022 Schedule

CHAPEL HILL -Â The North Carolina men's lacrosse team released its official 2022 schedule Thursday evening. Television details for all games will be announced at a later date.

The Tar Heels have six games scheduled against teams that qualified for the 2021 NCAA Tournament, including four games against squads that were seeded in last year's national tourney — Duke (#2), Denver (#7), High Point, Notre Dame (#6), Syracuse, and Virginia (#4). Â

The Tar Heels will host 10 games during the regular season at Dorrance Field. After back-to-back weekends of scrimmages against Air Force, High Point, Mount St. Mary's, and Navy, Carolina will play host for seven consecutive games — Richmond on Feb. 11, Colgate on Feb. 13, Ohio State on Feb. 19, Brown on Feb. 23, Johns Hopkins on Feb. 27, Denver on Mar. 5, and Virginia on Mar. 10. The Tar Heels will then hit the road to face High Point on Mar. 20 before returning home to face Bellarmine on Mar. 26 and Duke on Apr. 2.Â

UNC will then travel to Charlottesville to take on Virginia on Apr. 9. The team will return home to face Syracuse on Apr. 16. The Tar Heels will wrap up the regular season on the road as they face Notre Dame on Apr. 21 and Duke on May 1.
