Hubert Davis:
-       "I did like the response out of our guys in the second half. One of the things that we talked a lot about at halftime, I told them that there is nowhere to go. There's no exit route, there's no stairs, there's no door. You're going to have to stay in and you're going to have to compete."
-       "You know, when you look at Caleb's stat line, he got to the free throw line, and he led the team in assists. And so that's the Caleb Love that can do that every night. I feel like in the second half he responded defensively as well. His man didn't score as easily, there was resistance, he competed. And so I was very proud of Caleb in the second half, his response on both ends of the floor."
-       "I think anytime that we get steals [and] we're really good in transition, one of the things that we do is get steals. We've got all five guys sprinting, and we've got great spacing and balance. We've got guys that can shoot threes and transition, but also attack the basket. So when we're able to steal the ball and also rebound, we feel like we are in a good position transition wise, from an offensive standpoint.
-       [On being impressed with Seth Trimble's play]: "That doesn't surprise me at all. That's something he can do. He has tremendous athleticism and quickness, I think he can be one of the best on-ball defenders in the country. He's gifted. One of his gifts and talents is to be able to do hard multiple guys, especially on dribbling. I thought he disrupted the guy bringing up the ball because of his ability to make them run their offense out further. And that allowed us to get steals and deflections and miss shots. I'm so very proud of Seth. I thought he played unbelievable when he was in the game. And I'm so glad that he's here.
-       [On how he would characterize where the team is]: It's November? It's November. And you know, one of the things that I have learned in my second year that every team is different. Doesn't matter if you have 14 of the 17 guys returning, this is this year's team. And so there's growth and maturity for our team that just has to happen. I spoke with the team yesterday, and one of the things that I have sensed with them and I just felt not a nervousness, but maybe a little bit of a burden of both of the expectations. And I tried to get them to understand that though those expectations are noise that means nothing. And I felt like on every play, they were trying to make it looked like the way we looked in April. And that's just not possible. That just can't happen. This is this year's team. So let's just be committed to showing up every day at practice. Let's prepare, let's see how good we can become and at the end of the day, let's live with the results.

RJ Davis:
-       "College of Charleston is a good team. They gave us a good run last year and this year. The way they get out in transition and the way they crash the boards is physical. I feel like we need this going forward for the rest of the season as a test of our strength and to put us in the position we need to be in."
-       "The way we dialed in and the way we played as a team on both ends of the floor, defensively and offensively, that's Carolina basketball right there. The way we get out in transition, the way we share the ball, find the open guy for a great shot that's what we need all year."

Caleb Love:
-       "[Coach Davis] told us we were being soft, and we were in the sense that they were getting anything they wanted; drives and three pointers, they were getting anything they wanted and they were bullying us on both ends of the floor. So he said that we were being soft and we needed to change it."
-       "Yeah, that was unacceptable for him to get those bully-ball points and Coach [Davis] told me I was being soft and I had to change it in the second half. I took it personal to do that."
-       "We were just kind of taking control of the game. On both ends of the floor we put our foot down, and we just kept putting our foot on their necks and we never let up."

Leaky Black:
-       "It wasn't pretty. [Coach Davis] let us know how we looked out there. We were getting beat in every aspect of the game and he let us know that."
-       "You know, it's been awhile. Like I said we are not going to look like the team that played in the Final Four. It's a process. Everyone forgets how we looked in the beginning of the year last year. It's a process, but I'm glad we got the dub."
-       "It was literally everything. You know they were just getting to the paint, they were just right under the goal, he shot one behind his head. Just taking a stand, he was being tough. We just got to get back to it."
-       "Just trying to stay aggressive, just trying to swing first. Just as a team trying to swing first on the defensive end and everything we do, I took my offensive game up by just trying to swing first, being physical, and trying to get easy ones to go in."

Armando Bacot:
-       "We were down by seven. Really, our approach was there is no running, we have to play the second half. We didn't want to lose this game, so we really had to turn it up and dial in on everything."
-       "It was more of us. We don't want to lose, and we know we are a lot better than the product we put out in the first half. I think my approach was terrible and we just weren't all clicking on all cylinders in the first half."
-       "The game shouldn't begin like this. We all are pretty upset. We won, but we know we are a lot better than what we put out. We get the title as the number one team, you definitely have to go there and knock out early teams.
-       "I feel like I have to be a lot better. I have been here for four years, I have to be out there dominating. I think I am the best player in the country and I haven't been putting out that product. I got to be a lot better. Y'all know the boards, that's my thing so I have to be a lot better. I am going to keep working and I'm not going to quit. I'm just going to go back to my basics."

On Bacot
Pete Nance - "At halftime, we instilled a lot of confidence in him. I think he is the best big man in the country. I think everyone letting him know that him taking that and running with it and showing everyone here tonight and watching that is what we need him to do all year, and if he does it, we are in a great spot."

Leaky Black - "Just gotta give him the ball. I think he had one field goal attempt in the first half. He is the best player in America. We just gotta give him the ball."

College of Charleston Head Coach Pat Kelsey - "You just tip your cap to Carolina, you know, they came out with ferocity in the second half. And obviously, Bacot is a national player of the year candidate for a reason. One point, one shot in the first half, we knew they were going to go to him. It was like three yards and a cloud of dust, you couldn't stop it."

College of Charleston Head Coach Pat Kelsey:
-       "I was proud of our effort, I was proud of those guys in that locker room. They played with toughness, they played with grit, they played with physicality."
-       "We knew the storm was coming, we knew that they were going to make a huge run, which they did you know, and I thought on several occasions there in the first 10-12 minutes of the second half, the place got crazy and it went nuts with 20,000 people or however many it was, our guys withstood a couple of those runs. That resiliency was something excited and something really good to see and obviously that last tsunami at the end, it was sort of game over from there."
