• Iowa State scored 21 points off 14 Carolina turnovers. The 21 points off turnovers are the most by an opponent this season. Portland scored 20 in the previous game.
• The Cyclones held a 21-6 advantage in points off turnovers.
• Carolina led for 25 minutes and 19 seconds. The Cyclones led for 7:56.
• The Tar Heels led 57-49 with 5:43 to play and 60-53 with 3:55 remaining after a Leaky Black basket. The Tar Heels didn't make another field goal until a tip-in at the buzzer by Pete Nance.
